And we're back in Maine!

We are back in Maine after a two month visit with Grandpa and Grandma Faith in Michigan. We miss them very much but we're glad to be with Scott again in Maine. Kaid has had a blast these past 5 weeks with his daddy. Kaid got a little play guitar for christmas and loves to play and dance around while Scott plays his guitar. Looks like we've got a little "music man" on our hands. Kaid has now started to use words to communicate with us as well. Some of his latest include "Ma MA MA MA MA" (of course)..."Ollie" (refrencing to our ferret)...."Hey Dover" (our puppy)..."hot", "bye bye", "bug", and the list gets bigger everyday! Scott leaves on Tuesday again for a while so it'll be just me and kaid. Grandma Faith and Macey are going to come out and visit us. Scott and I also found out that we are expecting another little one due on September 25th....which was Kaid's exact due date last time though he was a week late. This is very exciting news for us. They will be exactly two years apart:) We're all doing well and I will put up some more pics as soon as I download them onto the computer:)

Our new German Shepherd puppy

Meet our newest member of the family: "JD Rien's Dover"...or "Dover"....he is our AKC 10 week old German Shepherd pup. Those ears will go up soon:) I'm thinking about taking classes with him for search and rescue. There is a program where you volunteer your dog for SAR if there is a missing person out or a disaster...along the lines of that. Anyways he really is a sweetheart...always willing to please and him and Kaid have bonded already!

Daddy's coming home!

So far my husband Scott has been gone 6 months out of Kaiden's life. We are in Michigan as of now visiting family while he was out in Cuba and the Dom Rep for two months doing patrolls and taking migrants back to Cuba. Kaiden is now 14 months old and has learned to walk, say a couple words such as "mama", "hi", "uh oh", "no", and "Gramma where are you?!" lol....he has changed so much since Scott left. It's like he went from being a baby to a little boy overnight. I can't wait to see Scott again. His plane will be flying in to South Bend next Thursday. We will pick him up early morning. I can't wait for Kaid to see his daddy again. We will then be visiting family through out the weekend and leaving for our home in Maine that Monday. A long 14 hour drive thru the night. I pray for good weather! I'm going to try to update this thing more often. Just kinda of slips my mind. But I will keep up on it!

As you all know my husband Scott is in boot camp right now for the coast guard. Well he called me last night! We got to talk for a good 45 minutes. He had on base liberty:] It was sooooo good to hear from him. It has been 6 weeks so far. Tomorrow starts week 7! Then the next week we will go out for his graduation. Scott has recieved orders to Portsmouth, New Hampshire. We will be living in Kittery, ME though in the military housing. He will be on the cutter ship The Reliance. However the kinda bad news is he will be gone for 6-8 weeks at a time....the good news is he will get to go to Iceland, nova scotia, and a few other various places. I'm really excited for him! After about 6 months of that he will go to A-school in Virginia for 2 months. Then we would like to transfer to Texas or California....wherever God takes us ya know....just thought i'd share that. Can't wait to see him!
